Mid-staff instrument change

I need to change Flute to Piccolo in the score. I am not interested in sound but in the visual information. I need:
1 muta to information in the middle of measure
2 new instrument name from measures x-x
3 muta to old instrument, and have the initial instrument name displayed again.

Step 1 I have found by Text insert of Instrument, but I can't get changed the name at the point 2 (and 3).

"Change Instrument" text doesn't change the instrument name in the left margin, so if you need that, add two separate staves for flute and piccolo and use Style > General > Hide Empty Staves.
