Slow in editing mode.
I have found that when I am in editing mode note entries become a bit slow especially in a highly articulated, big composition (orchestral at about +- 400 bars long).
Could this be due to a lack of RAM?

I thought that a while ago too (link ).
Try something: Move notes of a one page score (both via keyboard up/down and mouse), then two pages, etc. I think it gets slower when there's more pages (perhaps it takes time for the software to adjust the bars, etc to accommodate the note).
Using MuseScore 1.0 and 2.0 Nightly Build (4360) - Mac 10.4.11.

It's indeed due to the relayouting procedure. It's not a lack of ram, more a lack of CPU.
I have that problem too. Once a score gets over 100K, editing gets slower and slower. At 150k, the slow response problem is getting severe. I have Musescore 1.2 running on a nearly new Mac Mini with Lion (10.7.4).
I think that the Musescore programmers need to some speed optimizing of the program, so that it can handle large scores better.
