"save as"-problem solved in mscore-1.0 on ubuntu, but not on debian?

I used to have the "save as" gives blank page-problem on Ubuntu (as described here: http://musescore.org/en/node/7811 )
and am glad this is solved.
However in Crunchbang, which is not based on Ubuntu anymore, but Debian Squeeze, I still have this problem.

On the Crunchbang-forum I found a workaround for installing version 1.0

but alas... Mscore-1.0 on Debian still has this "save as"-problem with a blank page.

What should/could I do?
