virus
I downloaded version 1.0 of musescore on my windows computer, and when I started to use the program, my computer was attacked and I lost all my pictures, music, most of my documents, and some other things. Why did this happen , and how can I get musescore on my computer? I really want it!

It's very unlikely that the virus attack is linked with your download of MuseScore. If you click on the green button at the top of http://musescore.org you should have a safe version of MuseScore 1.0, virus free.

thank you so much . I will try it again. maybe It was something else attacking my computer. Is it possible for anyone to put a virus onto musescore?

a good antivirus. I recommend Microsoft security Essentials and Malwarebytes. Both are free.

I recommend Avast, which has a free for personal use version. Virus databases are updated daily. I've used it for years, and never gotten a virus.
(P.S. I'm 99.999999% sure you didn't get a virus from downloading and installing MuseScore.)

Do I have to delete my other antivirus' before I download avast? I have the free version of avg, mcafee, and malwarebytes. Should I download it from the avast site?? Thanks soo much . This is really helping!!

I would think you only need one antivirus program at a time. It seems like too many would really bog your system down. Just a guess, others can weigh in as well.
