Naming parts on export
Hello, I've written a piece and had to use the stock names for parts to get them in the right key for brassband. I've then edited the names of each part to suit the brassband - ie- original was Alto Sax - I've changed this to Tenor Horn as there was no tenor horn in Eb in the original instrument list.
But... when I come to export each part to print as a pdf, the instrument written at the top of each part reverts back to the original ie Alto Sax.
Very frustrating as when export the whole score as a pdf for printing it shows up as my changes - ie, all the brassband instruments!
Screenshots attached to explain hopefully.
So I'm just after saving my changes of instrument text on each individual part.
Thanks.

You can rename them in parts dialog. Than they should export named as there.

Thank you so much! Just the job! I love this programme, it's so versatile, just wish the sounds weren't so "electronic"!

For future reference, there are several options for instruments that might have been what you wanted originally. Not gonna help in this case, but should help in the future.
When you select instruments--whether in the original setup of the score or when changing instruments on the Staff/Part properties ... dialog--look at the top left of the Select instrument dialog. If it says "Common", change it to "All instruments". You'll have options for "Horn" with a drop down to select the key (including Eb) or "Alto Horn" with a dropdown to select the key (defaults to Eb). I would guess that these two use the same sound to represent the horns; choosing the key should make it a transposing instrument in the correct key relative to other instruments.
