Stems
I'm trying to indicate a single note with an up and down-stem to indicate the note is played on 2 strings (violin) as a unison note. I can't seem to get this down. Any suggestions?

What you can do is create another voice and add the same note in the second voice.
Then the stems will be in opposite directions.

That may not be so easy to do if the unison note is not the first note in the measure. Rests for the second voice will have to be placed to get to the unison note, the note entered, and then the second voice rests will have to be selected and Set Invisible.
