Square text frame
Hi,
I often use the rehearsel mark in the scores I create and what annoys me is the fact the frame is not a real square. I.e. I have the default setting of 0.5 sp and set the radius to 0. What I get is a frame around the text like this:
Looking at this I would say the text margin is not correct applied in this case. I would expect the 0.5sp would be applied in all directions (top, bottom, left, right). If this would be done, you we get a nice square frame.
Thinking this might be caused by the font used, I have also tested with a courier font and here is the result:
Here you can also see the top/bottom margin is different then left/right.
My opinion is that a score looks much better with rehearsal marks having the same frame size (regardless of the contents). Perhaps a feature can be implemented to set a fixed frame size?

+1 to this.
Having something like separate height/width text-margins or even a squared option would be useful.
Pressing [SpaceBar] 5 [SpaceBar] gives you a very nearly square rehearsal mark but, yes, the ability to change the frame size might be useful in certain situations.

Thanks for the hint, however doing this means I have to do this for every rehearsal mark and they don't seem to adjust anymore when using the Resequence Rehearsal Signs function.
I also like the thought having separate settings for height and width.
If you're looking for other workarounds, maybe try creating "dummy" rehearsal marks that are really just plain text set to some spaces but with a frame, then have the "real" rehearsal marks be frameless. If necessary for alignment, you could move them into position manually by nudging them with the arrow keys.
