[trunk] [osx] "backspace-key" triggering the same action as "delete-key"
on osx, if someone refers to the delete-key, he normally means the backspace-key. (most users don't know how to trigger the real delete-key). see: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1343

Sorry, I don't understand - what is the actual task? Is it really a reference note?
My MacPro has a delete key - my MacBook doesn't. Incidentally, see: #11645: [Trunk] Backspace and directional keys non-responsive in shortcuts
Sorry if I appear to be trying to teach anyone to suck eggs but the key labelled "delete" on a Mac does not do the same thing as the key with the same label on a PC, it does what a PC's "backspace" key does ie it deletes the character before the cursor.
There is no key on a standard Mac keyboard which, by default, deletes the character after the cursor so even though the name is the same the action is different.
... but I don't know what the task is either ;-)
