Instruments showing up in mixer multiple times
I'm arranging a song with six parts and when I go to mixer to mute one voice, I notice that each voice appears in the mixer between five and over 20 times.
No idea what's going on.

You've got a crazy amount of instrument changes in there (see https://musescore.org/en/node/39041#add-instrument-change). It looks like you used it every time you wanted to add text. Delete those and replace with regular staff text or system text (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/text-basics).
Along the score there are some 'Instrument Change'. Each requires an instrument in the mixer.
