Should MuseScore output Lilypond version details?
When I outputted a score using MuseScore 1.1 for Lilypond, the latter showed near the top of the file: \version "2.12.0"
The current version of Lilypond is 2.14.2.
Using Mac 10.6.8.

MuseScore outputs lilypond code compatible with Lilypond 2.12 and that's good practise to put the version number at the start of a lilypond file. Lilypond 2.14 should be able to render 2.12 files and if not they should provide an upgrade path. I didn't use lilypond recently but for 2.10 to 2.12 such a upgrade script was provided. The version number in the lilypond file is used by this script.
