Edit Lyrics default location
I want to write lyrics above the staff. Modifications of Y in Edit Text Styles does not change the default location of Lyrics.

I you use version 1.1, you should be able to enter negative values in "Styles | Edit General styles", then "Page", then "Lyrics upper margin" (I'm quoting from memory, do not have MuseScore at hand right now). I would expect with an upper margin of about -7 or -8, lyrics should be positioned above the staff.
You probably also have to increase accordingly the lyrics lower margin to keep the stave below from raising too much.
Can you try and tell if this works or not?

In version 1.0 only I can get positive numbers to "Lyrics upper margin". My question was about ocasional lyric above staff, not for the whole work.
Is version 1.1 stable?
Thanks

Sorry I was not aware that MScore 1.1 was available.

It does not work with MScore 1.1 for Win XP

It does work for me. Check Style -> Edit style -> Lyrics upper margin

Thanks it worked. Is there a way to do this only for some lyrics and no for all the lyrics of the score?

Not using that dialog. If you want some lyrics in a different place than the default you have set, just drag them where you want.

It would be desirable have a rule in order to place these dragged lyrics in a more precise way.
