"Invisible" tempo!
I have a tempo near the end of my score I cannot change. It occurs in the middle of a measure near the end; there's no tempo text and nothing on page for me to edit or delete. Is there a way I could view midi events or some such that would allow me to take it out?
Thanks,
Albert

The only way is to a copy of your score in MSCX format and open it with a text editor. If you can attach your score here, others can take a look.

Ok, had a look at the .mscx save, and after my vision cleared (lol) I wasn't sure what I was looking for, so here it is!
It's a transcribing of Dukas' fanfare "La Péri" for brass (converted the trumpet parts to Bb).
The suspicious change seems to be in ms. 44; there's 6 eighth-notes in the measure and it occurs on the 3rd one. Tried switching off and on Display > Show Invisible but that didn't work...
Thanks,
Albert

Wow, thank you! How'd you do it?

I opened the file with a text editor and remove the tempo in the tempolist. This should not happen, if you manage to reproduce it from a blank score, please post the steps.
Make sure to go to the "Display" menu and see if "Show Invisible" is checked. If it's not, check it. That makes anything that has been set as invisible display on the screen in a light gray. There may be an invisible tempo text there that you can't see if that option isn't checked, and if it shows up, you can select and delete it.
