Playback very silent
Hi
I am quite new to musescore so maybe there is a settings-feature i didnt find. I use musescore 1.1 in ubuntu 11.04 on a Thinkpad T400. My problem is that the live-playback (when entering notes or let musescore play the whole piece) is very silent. My system volume is set to maximum and when listening to MP3 or youtube-video or even a system notification sound is terribly loud. But i can hardly hear the notes of musescore.
I checked the "mixer (F8)" and it is set to highest possible value, too. The problem does not change when i use a differenz instrument for playback.
Do you have any idea what i can do?
Thank you!

Did you adjust the overall volume in the Synthesizer window?

no. Now i did. It is better now but i need would like to have it even louder. If i turn my system volume to the level that fits my needs for other purposes musescore is still much to silent.
however it is better now and i could live with it if there is no other solution.

You can check Display -> Play panel as well.

play panel is already set to maximum
You can also try a different soundfont. The default one tends to be a little quiet, maybe a different would give you a louder playback. For info on soundfonts, see here .
