Opening file crashes musescore

Hi, been working on a thing for the whole day and naturally saving on the same file, never having had a problem with musescore before ^^;; Suddenly going to page setup crashed MS and while it reopens, the file doesn't show in the recents and trying to open it crashes MS again.
Is there any way to save my work?

I tried to locate the hidden backup files, but there wasn't one. tried the zip-unzip method from another post, nothing.
