Can't find synthesizer
The synthesizer disappeared from view. I can't see it even when I check its box under View.

One possibility is the window has (somehow) moved offscreen.
On 2.0.3, the easiest fix for that is to use the pulldown menu option
Help>Revert to factory settings.
For earlier versions, follow the instructions from the handbook:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings.
Caveat: this will cause you to lose your preferences and I suppose customizations to the MuseScore GUI.
Or try this plugin https://musescore.org/en/project/resetdialogpositions, which will only attempt to reset size/position related settings and keeps all other settings intact.
