Question about exporting MIDI

When exporting a piano MIDI, (any one, doesn't matter) and placing it into a DAW, (I'm using Garageband right now) there is a problem where top line of the midi (which becomes its own track) doesn't let me use automation features. Is this a thing when you export a piano MIDI from Musescore? Is this just a Garageband quirk and I'm in the wrong forum?

(Also, just to note, the bottom like works perfectly, its just the top line that always acts weird)
