adding of verse numbers and making measure layouts uniform
musescore is a wonderful notating software but it is lacking in some vital features compare to the likes of Sibelius. I am using this medium to implore the developers to make addition of verse numbers available in the text plug-ins and also makes it possible to create a uniform measure layouts for hymn makers like me. It will also be pertinent if parallel 5ths and 8ves can be checked. with the availability of this features in the next edition, musecore can run shoulders with Sibelius.

Verse numbers are possible already, and I'm not sure what that other point is all about, mind to elaborate?

thanks for your response, as regard the uniform layout, it is very easy on Sibelius to specify even numbers of measures per row. unlike musecore one keep on dragging measures together before they allign together.

It is easy to control the number of measures per system in museScore as well, via line breaks and the "stretch" commands. If you continue to have trouble, feel free to attach the score you are having problems with and describe what you are trying to do, and someone will be ble to show you how to do it.
for example, point 1

how do you that, cos i dont seem to know how to apply the verse number. on Sibelius, after adding the lyric text, so one would go to the text plug-ins, and add the verse number. I really appreciate what you did, and i want to learn how to do that

Verse numbers are just numbers added as lyrics - just type "1.The" as the first syllable, for example.
As for checking parallel 5ths and 8ves, you can use this plugin by heuchi already: https://musescore.org/en/project/checkparallels

Thanks for the link, but is it available directly on the software?
In reply to Thanks for the link, but is by Solomon Esemuze
If you mean integrated into the executable, then no. And I don't expect it to be either.
A plugin however fully integrates into MuseScore and is run from within the program. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins#installation for how to install them.
About verse numbers; Just enter them as part of the first syllable in the format [number][dot][Ctrl+Space][syllable]
And about having an equal number of measure on each system/line, you might want to have a look at the Add/Remove Line Break tool (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tools#line-breaks)
