Another reason for Windows 64 bit
Windows 10 supports its own generic asio driver but only in 64-bit programs. The latency is actually really much better and unnoticeable when playing. Just a thought.

The problem with that is that Qt doesn't provide a 64bit mingw/toolchain

This should improve if and when we switch to using Microsoft Visual C++ for this rather than mingw. That switch is on the agenda, somewhere, as far as I know
