Vertical Marcato
I have read the manual a couple of times, and searched the forums. I can't believe no one has asked this so I assume I am overlooking something simple, however, to completely display my ignorance, I can find entering horizontal marcatos, but I can't find vertical ones without a dot. I know they exist because I see them all the time in big band scores.

Umm, this is in MuseScore 1.1 (and probably 2.0) under the Articulations & Ornamentations palette, 3 row, 6'th column. It's labelled "umarcato" (for UP). There's also a "dmarcato" for DOWN.

As I said at he berginning I was overlooking something simple. When you have the pallettes tab open it only shows three columns by default, and didn't rearrange the hidden ones further down the column. Thanks for your help

Your screen or MS window must be very short. Thats the only way that MS will restrict the size of the open palette. Now you know to check for the scroll bars on all windows.
