How To Divide 1 Chord to 2 ??
How can I divide 1 chord to 2 in MuseScore?
I imported a MIDI data which I made by digital piano.
I just want to make a piano score.
So I need to write the score for left hand and right hand.
But in MuseSocre, if I import a MIDI data, the chord is all connecting.
How should I do? Can I divide it?
Best Regard.

Try Marc's "plode" plugin

Thank you for your replying.
Then, I tried "plode" plugin!
But it doesn't work as I imagined...
If I implement "explode", I can get the note which is top of the chord.
But it is not the thing I wanted to do.
(Or, my usage is wrong??)
For example, If there are "C" code in the MuseScore, I'd like to split that "C"note and "E and G" note.
("C" code consist of "C and E and G")
Sorry to say such thing.
Anyway, thank you very much.

The explode plugin is meant for a somewhat different situation. Not splitting chords into two staves with some notes in one staff and some in the other, but for splitting them into as many staves as there are notes with one note per staff. This is useful when writing for several saxophones, for instance. For piano music. You want the Split Staff function, which you access by right clicking a staff. However, apparently it doesn't work well when chords are involved, either, as thee are several bug reports filed for this. Looks like maybe it's fixed for he next major release, but that's still several months away at least, I would imagine. I think you'll find that overall, MIDI input is not a very efficient method of note entry. seems like it would be, but in every notation program I,ve used (and I've used a bunch over the last 20 years!) it ends up being more work cleaning up the mess than simply entering the notes manually.

Thank you for your advice.
Reading your comment, I think that It's better to wait for next major release.
Or, use not MIDI import function, and make the all of score by on the MuseScore.
The other solution is ,I thought , make 2 MIDI data for left hand and right hand by DAW.
After that, import them.
Anyway, Thank you very much!!

Probably the best solution in your case would be to input the data directly to MuseScore from your MIDI keyboard.
Unfortunately all score editors are very bad at interpreting MIDI data streams.
This is becuase MIDI is a protocol designed for humans or sequencers to transmit performance data to a MIDI device, and either record it or play it, depending on the device's nature.
You can jsut about get away with inputting 1 part at a time in real time with MIDI provided you can play with the temporal accuracy required, however MuseScore's quantisation algorithms have yet to be perfected, and you will still have a lot of cleaning up to do.
I think it would help you to watch Katie's tutorial video on inputting notes to MuseScore:

If you need further help I shall be keeping an eye on the forums until 7pm GMT

Michael.
Thank you for your comment!
Yes, in my case, I thought, it's better to input MIDI data directly to MuseScore from my MIDI keyboard.
Or... At first, I make accurate MIDI data by DAW. And import them.
Thank you very much for your help!
I'll watch the tutorial video too.
