copy&paste into 2 different voices
I have a line of notes. I copy and paste it into an empty bar for voice 1 (blue). Then I'd like to select voice 2 (green) to paste the same line transposing it an octave down. But it doesn't work simply selecting the green button...
What's the trick?

Copy onto a fresh stave, transpose and then move to Voice 2.
Once you have finished working with the parts use copy and paste to add Voice 1 to the stave with Voice 2 in it and then delete it.
A bit clunky, but hopefully this will be sorted out in a future version.

Actually, you can do a little better than that - no need for using extra staves. Paste into the desired staff, move to voice 2, transpose, then paste again.
A few things I try to keep in mind about copy and paste with multiple voices:
1. Copy/ paste always preserves the original voice structure. No way to copy something that was in voice 1 in one staff but make it voice 2 in another, or to copy only a selected voice. But some fiddling with the exchange voices command usually allows me to get the job done.
2. There is no such thing as a part with something on voice 2 only. All parts have something - at the very least, a measure rest - in voice 1. So copying a part that appears to have voice 2 onto another part will always clobber what was in voice 1 originally. Again, exchange voices usually saves the day. Also, if copying multiple parts into a single staff, do voice 1 last, so it doesn't have a chance to get clobbered.

That won't work if you want to paste into the same staff, which is what I thought he wanted to do.
Currently you have to paste into a separate staff - pasting into the same one just overwrites what is already there.

I got the impression he had a line either in a different staff or elsewhere in the same same staff that he wanted to paste in both voice1 and 2. But if you have a part in voice 1 that you just want to copy into voice 2, I'd use essentially the same approach. First, select the passage and hit Ctrl-C to copy. Exchange voice 1 and 2, then transpose (actually you cando that in either order). Then paste again.

Admittedly that is quicker :)
But if MuseScore crashes before you can paste you could lose data.
Having said that I will probably risk it in future :)
