2 decimals for tempos?
My point of reference is Avid Pro Tools, which has 4 decimals for tempo in bpm units.
MuseScore currently has only 1 decimal place. I am proposing 2.
For my purposes, limiting this change to 3.0 is fine. I don't know if anyone would want this in the latest 2.0 release.
It's a super simple change that I have already made in my own code - simply change the decimals setting from 1 to 2 in the inspector_tempotext.ui dialog. I can create a PR very quickly and with minimal risk.
If further justification is necessary: I am attempting to sync MuseScore scores with live performances, which even when played to a click track can have intro/outro sections that are in a "flexible" tempo. This requires some precision when backing into a bpm value. For me, 2 decimals is plenty. It may seem like a small difference but it's a full order of magnitude better in precision. 1 decimal is simply too coarse for even 30fps video sync, and digital audio is much more precise in the time dimension.
I do not believe that the extra decimal place will negatively affect the user experience. I do not know if there is an explicit reason why it is currently at 1 decimal.
Thanks for your consideration.

Sorry for the lateness of this response. FWIW, I can't think of any reason why not to, and I say go for it.
