MuseScore 1.1 does not put a full bar rest in an empty bar when the time signature is 3/8
I was disappointed when you ignored this issue just now. There were four postings, some with with material errors in and I would like to argue my case again. Here goes:
1. Set up four bars of 3/8 time. They show with four full bar rests.
2. Add three eighth notes
3. Delete each eighth note in turn (with the Del key, not backspace/undo key) and you now have three eighth bar rests in an empty bar. This is *not* correct. The original display in step 1 was correct.
4. In a fresh bar add a quarter note and an eighth note. Delete the quarter note first and then the eighth note and you are left with an empty bar containing a quarter note rest and an eighth note rest. Again, this ought to be a full bar rest.
5. Add some more notes in a bar. Select the bar and delete it and you *are* left with a full bar rest.
I submit that, whatever keystrokes are used to empty a bar, the single bar rest should be shown when the last note has been removed.

I disagree. If I wanted a whole measure rest, I would use the sported method of creating one - deleting the whole measure at once.. Besides, that is faster tha. Deleting notes one at a time. Deleting notes one at a time needs to leave rests in place of the notes, and I don't want MuseScore chaniging what I've entered. if I enter three rests eighth rests in a measure, then I want threee eighth rests in a measure.
In any event opening anew issue for this was not appropriate. There is already am existing issue, but since there is disagreement over whether it ebem *is* an issue, the forum is the more appropriate place to discuss the matter.
It looks like we agreee to disagree. Is there a jury? If not, please consider the case closed.
