Entering Chord Symbols
When I try to enter chord symbols, the keystokes don't seem to behave correctly. For example, when I add "b" to "E" to indicate "E-flat," the "b" remains a "b." When I try to use "t" or "," to indicate major, the triangle never appears. How do I get this feature to work corectly?"
Thanks,
Charles Gambetta

1. Are you sure you're entering chord symbols and not a different form of staff text?
2. Have you set a different chord style?
For chords you must first select a note or rest and press Ctrl+K (Mac: ⌘+K).
See:

If that doesn't help...
What version MuseScore are you using? What OS?
Attaching the problematic score most often results in a faster solution - it avoids the guesswork.
