How to take custom/exact resolution screenshot?

Hi.
I recently discovered the image capture function. Very useful, but I don't see a way of specifying the size/ratio of the screenshot. I can see you can use up to 4 sizes (good feature too) but neither of them can be specified precisely neither in pixels, ratio or inches, only "by eye".

There are many situations in which being able to specify the size/ratio of the screenshot is desirable. Is there any way, even a possibly hackish one, to set the size/ratio of the image capture box in pixels or inches, or at least make the current size known to the user (in the satus bar for example) so that the final screenshot is not "a bit big" or "a bit wider" than you wanted?

I write "size/ratio" above because the actual size in pixels may not be important, for example if the screenshot is exported to PDF, but if it will be exported to PNG, knowing the relative size of the image before positioning the box or while dragging the box is better. And in both cases, the ratio of the image should be known or easy to check. For example you might want a perfectly square image (1:1 ratio), or you might want a 4:3 ratio (older screen/TV/monitor) or 16:9 (hd/widescreen) rectangle, or any other relative size/ratio depending on your needs.

They do take Settings in DPI, Dots Per Inch. If you now know, find out, or calculate the DPI of your Screen, or Printer, you should be set

If I understand you correctly, what you're talking about includes the case of viewing a screenshot in fullscreen so that it covers the whole area and doesn't look blurry. Yeah, for that you need to know the dpi of the screen, but it's not enough. You also need to know either the resolution of the screen or its ratio.
And that's precisely what I'm asking about here: resolution and/or ratio information which doesn't seem to be available anywhere when capturing an image in Musescore.
