The font of fingerings and other numbers should be Feta (MScore1) by default.
Just compare the fingerings (similar to Times New Roman) of 1.1. (or the latest nightly build of 2.0) and the much more heavier and compact font used in printed music.
See the numbers in Feta font: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond/The-Feta-font
Aren't they kilometers away from Times New Roman?
I guess that could be changed in the local settings, but tht thing is that those numbers should appear by default, as in Lilypond.
Thank you.

BTW. Other texts with numbers (eg. the 8 in the octava line) should also use these numbers
The feta font is not suitable for generic text. The numbers 0-9 are available but have the size of 2 spaces suitable for time signatures (and they are used for this). If you dont like Times New Roman (or FreeSerif as used in MuseScore trunk) you can set an arbitrary font for fingerings in the text style dialog.
Well, I know that Lilypond uses these numbers for fingerings, that's why I pointed this out.
Anyway, thanks Werner.
I know what I'm going to do:
I'll put the numbers of theMScore font in the FreeSerifMscore font using FontForge and then post the result so as to be put in the program.
Could somebody tell me where can I download them?
Thanks.

You are always welcome to change the fingering font and then create a custom palette entry for it.
