8va ending note change?

When I drag 8va from 'Lines' palette, I can put it at some starting note but the ending note is always the end of the same measure as starting note is in. When I drag the 8va's ending handle, it changes visually but the end note does not change no matter how long the 8va line becomes.

Is it possible to change ending note position? Resorting to adding notes octave higher for now.

I need this because playback/midi output is very important to me.

If you double click the 8va sign you will see two handles appear.

You can then use SHIFT+left and right arrow keys to move the end of the 8va activation.
