Only one note in measure
My musescore application added a measure and I could only add one note in.

If you are in windows 10 it should be under C:\Users\ADrummer\Documents\MuseScore2\Scores\
ADrummer is your user name for windows. You probably have a shortcut to this Documents folder somewhere easily accessible no matter what your operating system (I hope).
I found this path by clicking File|Open... and it was in the address bar. That will tell you where to look from your browser. Your file will not start with a . those are MS internal files.
Not being familiar with any other operating system I don't know how other OSs will have it for sure.
