Thank you for your input. I have Windows 10 and it appears Musescore 2 does not "automatically scan" for this download. Any suggestions please?

You'd Need to download it from the 2nd link and install it as per the first link.
I don't understand what you mean by Musescore 2 does not "automatically scan" for this download

MuseScore looks for pre-installed plugins in %ProgramFiles%\MuseScore 2\Plugins (or %ProgramFiles(x86)%\MuseScore 2\Plugins for the 64-bit versions) and in %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore 2\plugins on Vista and Seven or C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\MuseScore\MuseScore 2\plugins (adjusted to your language version) on XP.
I deeply appreciate your help and patience. Guess I'm not computer literate to understand what this is trying to tell me. I've downloaded, but apparently do not understand how to install.

It means what it says, you have to install the plugin you downloaded onto one of the directories MuseScore looks into.
You didn't read the handbook page further, the very next sentence says:
To install new plugins, the above folders should not be used or modified. Instead you can add other plugins to %HOMEPATH%\Documents\MuseScore2\Plugins, or specify a different folder to look for plugins in MuseScore's Preferences.
