lasconic told me this was fixed in 1.2.
Feel free to change to a better title.
Reproducible in 1.2 (Pre-release 1).
Fixed in branch r5428
Which notes do I need to select in step 2? Only the notes? Which ones? Why don't you post a picture. Almost impossible to not the select the rests between the notes. This is what I selected:
NOT FOUND: 01
Then, with pre-release 1.2 I get a crash when I try to copy to the second minim, I don't get to the undo. In any case, the crash upon paste isn't there any more in R5428.
We don't worry about the fact that the copy result is somewhat suboptimal, since the notes in the bass aren't copied?
Yes, for 1.1 and 1.2, step 7 crashes it. Step 8 only applies to the trunk. I forgot to state this.
You have selected the notes that will crash it - regarding the rests, it's the ones outside the notes that you don't select.
No we don't worry about the fact that the result is suboptimal. At least in 1.2. The work around is to make the following staff nice before pasting. Feel free to post a better patch for trunk.
Currently, pasting appears to have no effect at all if you have the pickup selected. If you omit the pick, then the paste works fine, as does undo. No more crash for me.
I cannot reproduce - paste and undo both work fine.
