Shorten a line
I sometimes end up with a short line at the end of a song.
Is there any way of shortening the line so I don't end up with a very long measure?

Add ->Frames ->Append Horizontal Frame. Then adjust the frame width to suit.
Also see the Handbook under "Layout and formatting", and in particular the "Last system fill threshold" option in Style / General / Page. This controls whether that incomplete last system is automatically stretched to fill the width of the page or not.
Note that in many cases, a better answer is to add line breaks manually where you see fit to spread the measures more evenly so the last system doesn't end up incomplete in the first place. There's definitely an art to that.
