Showing just a part of a staff (hiding pauses after)
Hello everyone!
I posted two topics and you solved them perfectly! But I have another question... :D
I have a song with a single staff, just for vocal melody, lyrics and chords.
Now I'd like to add, in specific points, parts of a new staff, for the length of the melody and make it disappear for the rest of the song (showing only the vocal staff).
I tried to add a new instrument (that creates a new staff), but after the intro, are shown a really long list of pauses.
In the attachment there is a graphic of what I'm trying to do.

You can go to Style>Edit General Style and check the box labeled "hide empty saves"

However if you hide the first measure of the line, the others are visible without any clef or key signature.
I tried also to drag clef and key from the tools palette on the left, but nothing happens... :(
If you use a different clef (a F clef, for example) in the first (invisible) measure, and then you drag a G clef on the visible measure, that clef will be smaller.
Do you know a system to solve this?

You could try this:
Style -> Edit general style... -> Sizes
Change "small clef size" to 100%. (This will, of course, change small clefs in the entire document.)
