Hiya
My MuseScore has been working great for ages. Today it just refuses to load. It brings up the splash screen then dies and Windows just says mscore.exe has stopped working.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Edit: It does load if I run it with -s. What could be causing it and how can I fix it?

What Windows version and MuseScore version????
If it runs with -s then there is an issue wth sound drivers.
If you have automatic updates enabled then Windows could have overwritten your soundcard drivers and caused this problem.
Can you try to Revert to factory settings ] ?
Also it's better to use the forum for support requests.

I am running windows 10 pro.
I can't get Musescore 2.0.2 to load unless I use the options "-s -d". I have to use both s and d or it will not load.
I am pretty sure what the problem is but can't seem to find the correct drivers or files to delete.
It was running fine until I installed a Creative Labs Audigy PCI sound card. Immediately after that, I had the loading issue. The icon blinks & then that is all. Nothing shows in services or apps running.
I uninstalled the Audigy sound card, but the only way I can get it running is with the 2 options of s & d.
I enabled viewing of disabled devices in the device manager, found the audigy sound card listed and uninstalled it.
This did not help. I am sure that it has left a driver somewhere that Musescore does not like but I can't seem to figure which one it is.
The same version of Musescore works fine on a laptop running windows 10 home.
Even though I can get it running with the -s and -d options, it will not display flats. It shows an empty box in place of the flat symbol. I have tried all of the styles avail with no change on the displaying of the flat symbols. I assume this is because of being in the debug mode.
Also, when going to preferences, the I/O screen is entirely grayed out. Cannot make any changes there.
I don't like using the laptop as it is not very user friendly when typing on the cheap keys and smaller display.
Maybe someone can shed light on this one for me.
Thanks
Could you check if your windows is 64 bit? If the sound driver is as well, you need to use the 64bit version of MuseScore.
