NEED SWING FEEL!!!!!

Alright. So I've got a song I'm working on. I want to add a swing feel. I already looked on this website and followed the instructions that said to go to the text toolbar in the sidebar and select "swing" after clicking on the first note. A dandy little thing that says "swing" appears at the top of the score. Here's the problem. When I hit play, it doesn't play a swing feel back to me! I need it to play a swing feel because I need to run it through a MIDI plugin. This needs to work. What am I doing wrong? Why isn't it playing it back with a swing feel?
