movable tabs with scores
Hi there!
I have a request to do a movable tabs, because if i have my repertory and i will add new one, i will adds to the end of tabs with other scores and i need to move it somewhere in to the middle, it is not possible.
another thing is, if i have more scores or with long names, there is only arrow to scroll betwen it. I will be grateful, if i could put it into two or three lines, and then it wil be easier to switch between it.
thank you very much for answer or adding feature.
Kamil

You mean the linked parts of a score? You can reorder those already in 2.0.3, in the parts dialog.
You can reorder scores in the next versions or MuseScore (2.1 and 3.0), just by dragging them, see #8954: Move Tabs Around.

I think I understand. I use an add-on in Firefox that does the exact same thing. It looks like this:

I still don't get it. What is supposed to be moving?
The Score Tabs in MuseScore can get moved, in 2.1 and 3.0. Not in 2.0.3 though and not the sub-tabs of linked parts, but those can get reorderd in the parts dialog

The point is, when there are two many tabs to fit in the view, instead of staying in one long row, they "move" into a second row of tabs. Or a third. Or however many you choose as the limit in the add-on's settings.

Ah, now I got it, thanks.
With main score and linked parts we already have 2 rows of tabs, I guess more rows would just be confusing?

Quite possibly. I'd prefer the idea that has been occasionally suggested of a dropdown or menu listing all tabs.

You do mean to add the dropdown or menu after the first line of tabs is full, not as the standard when you have something like 2 small tabs open. Perhaps have this dropdown or menu tab say "more..." with possibly bold or italic print to let the user realize there will be a different result from clicking it. You could do the same thing on the parts tab to make finding the (e.g.) violin part in an orchestra score easier.

Best iteration of the idea yet!

While we're dreaming, for the part listing then shown, also have a filter input box?

Indeed. I quote from the second one: "The most important problem is that clicking on a tab in any of the back rows causes a disconcerting rearrangement of the tabs. The selected tab jumps to the front, but the cursor is left pointing at an unrelated tab, drawing the user's attention away from the tab of interest." So let's not do that. On the other hand, the Firefox extension does not rearrange the rows...
