Incorrect Font Rendering [Bug?]
Dear all
I have a fantastic font that I use in documents and relevant thingies. I wanted to use it as my score headers too, but MuseScore seems to render certain glyphs incorrectly, and when I export to PDF, the incorrect renderings are exported. Other applications, including other Qt applications, seem to render it correctly.
Please see attached screenshots.
The font is Asap and can be found here: http://www.google.com/webfonts/specimen/Asap

Which version of MuseScore are you using? On which operating system? Can you also give the version of Qt? (Help -> About Qt)

Dear Nicolas
I am using MuseScore 1.2 (Revision 5470) on Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) using Qt 4.8.1
The exact same problem also occurred in MuseScore 1.1 on Ubuntu 11.10, although I thought it was just some Qt bug which would be fixed in 4.8.1/1.2
Thanks!
Please could someone tell me if this bug is present in MuseScore 2.0?
The font "Asap" can be freely downloaded from the Google Webfont directory: http://www.google.com/webfonts/specimen/Asap

Why not download and test one of the nightly builds for Linux yourself?
It won't install over your existing installation, but lives in it's own sandbox for testing things like this
Nightly builds can now be found ojn the Downloads page.

Unfortunately, I do not have 24/7 fast internet access... I do all my installations and downloads at my brother's place, who lives 2.5 hours drive away. I just do small internet visits to this forum, Twitter, and a few others. I have to wait a while before I can download 2.0
It seems to be a problem in the TTF version of the Asap font itself. Do not download the TTF version available from Google Webfonts!
Instead, get the OTF version from Font Squirrel:
http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/asap
This version renders perfectly everywhere.
