The plugin isn't writtwn to work that way, but could probably be rewritten to do things that way, within certain limitations.
I'll keep my eyes open for any possible updates... BTW, plode works well for what I need it. Very comparable to Sibelius.

I should say that I am ot likely to update the plugin any time soon, as the e tire plugin framework appears to be changing for 2.0. So when the dust settles on that, I will probably rewrite the plugin for that, but not updte the current versipn. Meaning it will be 2.0 before a plugin update happens. Depending on what the new plugin framework looks like, it might be possible to improve on the current plugin or it might not.
Which is to say, if you have specific ideas about how you might alter the existing plugin to work the way you want, you might try it yourself, or find a programmer friend to do so if you can explain what exactly you'd see it doing.

I don't know enough about programming languages, including the Java Script. But I could read up on more information.
Thanx for your response.
Keep up the good work!

As far as I see it, from looking at Werner's new code and sample scripts, time spent on improving the current plugins won't be wasted. The new plugins interface is still bases on JavaScript, only some structuring of the plugins and the way to acces the framework will change and most code could be reused with only relativly minor modifications to the names of the methods called, at least as long as the plugin doesn't have a GUI.
And 2.0 is still many moons ahead of us, at least that's my understanding

The thing is, If I were to extend the explode plugin as is, I would have to keep the system where you first copy the passage to each staff, and after running the plugin you'd be left with each part still in a different voice. So you'd have to fix that manually. Plus implode would not be possible at all. I think I'd rather wait to see if the framework is improved to the point where adding new notes is more reliable and I could remove both of those limitations. There are already methods for separating and combining passages by voice (via copy and paste, and the "select all similar elements in same voice" right click option), and it seems that a very limited plugin barely improves on that at all.
But if you'd like to implement it, I'm not saying I would be opposed to that, of course!

OK, if the (main) reason for not doing it, is in the limitatio of the current framework, then indeed it isn't worth the effort.
