Playback Tempo Not Changing in Relation to Tempo Marker
Hello,
This is a problem that has only recently occurred. Normally, when I want to change the tempo, I insert a tempo marking, edit it to however many beats per minute I want, and every measure from that point forward is set to that tempo during playback. However, that does not appear to be happening any longer.
More specifically, the default tempo is 120 bpm, but when I add a tempo marker, the tempo changes to 80 bpm and remains there even after the marker has been edited to reflect the proper tempo. This has only been a problem since last night, and I can't seem to find anything that might be causing it. The help files make mention of a "Follow Staff" option, but I'm assuming that article is outdated. The closest equivalent pertains to formatting, not playback.
Since this piece mandates several tempo changes, this is becoming quite jarring. So any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

In order to do more than guess, we would need you to attach the score you are having problems with, and give us precise steps to reproduce the problem.
But meanwhile, my guess is this score has linked parts, and that you are seeing the effects of a known bug #78416: Tempo text oddities in score with linked parts until save/reopen. As mentioned, that particular problem goes away if you close and reopen the score, so do try that.

Closing it out seems to have worked. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks a bunch.
