my score file crashes the program
I just completed measure 27 of my score when the program quit. A message said I should send Microsoft an error report which I did. Then the program closed. I reopened it and tried to reload my score file. It crashed the program. The score file must have become corrupted causing the crash. I renamed and opened the backup file. Even though I save my score after each measure is finished, the backup file only saved the very beginning of the work.
So, I have two questions:
1. What can be done to recover my score file? I have to believe the error took place in measure 27, however, possibly the program inserted an error somewhere else.
2. Why doesn't the backup file update with each save of the file? Also, the auto-save is every 2 minutes which is the default. There does not seem to be a method (preferences) to change or control file backup.
I reloaded the program from the website but that did not help.
My score file is Consolation No. 3 by Franz Liszt., file attached. Although this was a learning exercise for me and not a crisis, I have about 10 hours invested in it so I would like to recover the file. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am on a mac 10.6.8 OS, and am using 1.2 musescore.
I was playing the score that I was working on, and then pressed the play button in order to stop the playback, however it stuck on the chord that I had stopped it on. This had happened a few times previously, however pressing play again twice had always fixed the problem. However, this time the chord would not stop playing no matter what I did. Then the program shut down. Since then I cannot open the score as it seems to be corrupted: it continually crashes the program. I cannot find any back up file, and it also did not open when a downloaded musescore again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is for a show this coming week and I would really like to not have to arrange it again!

The same thing happened to me. Would you be able to do the same thing with this file? I've been working on it for a really long time. I did fortunately save it as a MIDI file which Musescore can actually open as a score, but it's very messy and it would take a long time to put back together. If someone is able to fix this, I would be very, very grateful.
