Cannot read File!
If I try and open my mscz file in Musescore it says cannot read file. I have spent a long time on this piece and would like to be able to open and edit it again does anyone know how to open it or even open it for me and send me the 'openable' file.
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure you understood. He pointed you to the handbook page that discusses backup files which includes a link to using a backup file to recover your work. You uploaded file is corrupted to the point it no longer internally resembles any MuseScore file. Since no one is looking at your computer but you, you are the only one who can do this.

I have found these files but can't find my backed up composition, can anyone help

Not the Autosaved version.
MuseScore backup file is stored in the same folder as your normal MuseScore file (starting with a dot, ending with a comma). Rename it and remove the dot and the comma

Be sure you've activated "show hidden files" in your file manager to find these MuseScore backup files.
