Automatic UI scaling
tl;dr: UI scaling is messed up on multimonitor desktops with variable monitor resolutions. UI scaling needs a manual configuration option.
I run a multi-monitor system with extended desktop. Until recently, I've been using three identical 1920x1200 monitors One is in Portrait mode, which I use for things like MuseScore. I recently upgraded my center monitor to 4k, and had an unfortunate side effect:
The UI scaling on MuseScore seems to be linked to the primary display. This means since I have MuseScore open on the side monitor, the UI has scaled up a LOT to compensate for the higher resolution on the main monitor. I now need to reduce the scale of any active score to 75% to fit it onto the 1200-pixel width of the monitor, and the toolbar is too wide to fit on the screen. This feature needs to link to whichever monitor the program is on, or preferably an option to decouple the UI scale from automatic to a manual function.

Comments
This is a known issue, see also #106241: Monitor resolution detected incorrectly, making sizes wrong. There is a tentative workaround implemented via a command line option to specify the actual resolution, but we'd love to get at the root cause in those cases where the trigger isn't known (eg, it appears to be the case that some TV sets don't appear to transmit size information).
