Anyone know of a good soundfont for piano and strings?
Normally, I use the SGM V2 as my go-to soundfont for my transcripts but recently i've been wanting to get into transcribing string sonatas and piano trios, quartets, quintets, etc. I'm probably going to start writing my own piano chamber music, not in the near future probably, but who knows. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of how strings sound on SGM, so if anyone knows of anything, it'd be much appreciated. Again I'm looking for a soundfont with a quality sounding piano and strings.

It is only piano, but it sounded like you were happy with the other soundfont for stirngs. You can have multiple soundfonts installed at once and use different soundfonts for different instruments.

Just load as many as you like, use the Mixer to select. See the Handbook for more information.

I have put together, just a couple of days ago, some nice strings in my Strings, Harp and Orchestra section of my Soundfonts here:
https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/
The site also contains various versions of the Salamander (Yamaha C5) piano including a 6 velocity layer version as well as a 15 velocity layer version with optional resonance.
Hope these might be useful.
