How to move lyrics from a lower line to the line above
2.0.3
See attached score. The lyrics in systems 2 and 3 have been mistakenly entered onto the line below the lyrics in system 1. It doesn't seem possible to cut-and-paste them into the line above, so is re-entering the lyrics the only solution?

Extract .mscx file, open with a text editor
Find and Replace of
\n <no>1</no>
and\n <style>Lyrics Even Lines</style>
with nothing.Save mscx back into the mscz zip file.
No possibility, but.....
You can select one syllable, then extend to all the line 2 lyrics, and move with the inspector. This gives only an illusion
You can unzip and modify the mscx file by deleting any following lines
style Lyrics Even Lines /style
no 1 /no
(including the signs smaller or greater, which I don’t know how to include here)
so doing, don't forget to keep backup
then open mscx and save as mscz
I think the easiest way and the least effort is still (how described) to copy the lyrics into a text editor, add the syllables, paste it in the lyric text in the first line of MuseScore and delete the lyric text in the "wrong" line.
I'm sure you're aware of it. And I hope, a dedicated student will improve:

To copy easily :
From the "Edition" menu, "Tools", "Copy Lyrics... "
(I don't know the exact translation wording , mine is in French.)
Problem sorted. Thanks.
