Can't use mouse to enter notes (Windows 7 - MuseScore 1.2)
I have downloaded MuseScore 1.2 on my laptop with Windows 7 but I cannot use the mouse to enter notes nor to place the cursor. I can only use te mouse to choose from the palettes.
I also get a strange horizontal blue line on the screen (as attached).
Help would be much appreciated.

Can you press "Esc" on your keyboard. Do you still see the blue line? If not, press N, and click somewhere in the staff.

I pressed "ESC" but I still have the blue line and can only use the keyboard to enter notes.

How about if you close the score and open it aagain? Close MuseScore and open it again? Do other scores work? Did it ever work before?

It never worked on this computer specifically. I uninstalled and re-installed MuseScore three time but still, I get the same problem.
It works fine on my other laptop!

Sounds like there might be some sort of incompatibility with something else on your system. I'd start by checking Known incompatibilities in the Handbook. Do also check the instructions on how to Revert to factory settings .
