Use of 16th grace note with 8th note vs. 16th grace note with quarter note

When a 16th grace note is added to precede an 8th note to simulate a guitar note hammer on, the playback is fine (as written); however, when a 16th grace note is added to precede a quarter note to simulate a hammer on, there is a significant delay or stutter between the grace note and the subsequently played quarter note. It is really more of an annoyance; however, it becomes more critical when shared with the online community as the playback is not accurate. Thank you.

Use the "grace" note identified as an acciaccatura (has the slash in it) and then select the grace note and change it to a 16th note by pressing 3. This will give both the correct look and play you are looking for.
