Can't launch musescore - Qt plugin "ubuntumirclient" missing [ms 2.0.3, ubuntu 17.04]
Hello,
Whenever I try to launch musescore from the command line the program fails to start giving the following error message:
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "ubuntumirclient"
in "".
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, mirserver, xcb.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Aborted (core dumped)
Needless to say, reinstalling was not useful.
The problem doesn't show if I launch musescore with sudo privileges. However, this is not possible (and, even if possible, it is undesirable) when using musescore to visualize objects from the music21 package in python.
Could you please help me solve it?

Without using ubuntu myself maybe a bug in the package libertine of the distribution?

Nut sure, but maybe checking for another version could be helpful (?).

The package libertine was not installed. I installed it, but nothing changed. :(
Thanks for the reply!
Ahahah! I used the oldest trick : reboot! Now it works. I suspect it is because I switched between unity8 and unity7 desktop in the previous session. Sorry for disturbing, you can close.
