Notes played at same time but not chords?

Two distinct notes at once.

I am trying to transcribe Amazing Grace into Muse score. In the 9th measure these is a doted quarter note(C5) slurred to an 8th note(A4) followed by a C5 and A4 eighth notes. Under the first C5 there is a half note C4 and under the C5 eighth note there is a C4 quarter note. How can I get Muse score to recognize these different notes?
