Tie and Slur mixup in German Handbook
In the German Handbook the chapter on ties is on Bindeboegen (which is slurs)
and vice versa (slurs becomes Halteboegen), see
http://www.musescore.org/de/handbuch/bindeb%C3%B6gen
http://www.musescore.org/de/handbuch/halteb%C3%B6gen
This is wrong.
The German translation for slurs is Bindeboegen (no separation between notes)
and Ties are Halteboegen (over notes of equal pitch).
In the english version the correct definitions are given.
I would correct this in the Germen handbook, If I knew how.

Thanks for pointing out this mistake. I tried to correct it but let me know if I missed anything (I don't speak German).
We could use some help with the German localization if you are interested. There are a number of updates to the English handbook that need to be incorporated into the German version. Thomas maintains the website and will need to give your account the right permissions before you can edit these pages. Thomas is on break at the moment so it might not be right away.
On
http://www.musescore.org/de/handbuch/bindebogen-0
the last partial sentence is now:
> dann verschiebt sich auch der Haltbogen.
It should read:
> dann verschiebt sich auch der Bindebogen.
The other page seems OK.
I can offer to do German translations (I'm a native speaker from Switzerland), however I do not have any formal musical training (I'm an amateur singer for over 20 years now). That I detected this error was a lucky combination of wikipedia information and my attention, but not thorough notational knowledge.

Permissions to edit and translate the German handbook has been granted to your account. There is quite some translation work to do but no obligation whatsoever.

I get an "access denied" message, when I log in and try to access the indicated URL. I tried several times.
