rests over notes
I need to put an 1/8 rest over a dotted half note. And also position a whole rest and another as shown.
Looking at the attachment, you see where I mean. And the completion of the last measure in the lower right corner.

I was wrong with the description.
Assuming you mean the sixteenth rest over the half note, this is done the same way as the rest of the measures - you need two voices. See the Handbook under "Voices".
