Behavior of the Style Dialogs

When you open one of the 2 Style Dialogs (Style / General and Style / Text) you want to adjust something in your score (e.g. a distance) and you will have several trials to find the optimum. But to see the result of your adjustment is rather hard, because of the largeness of the dialogs.
Therefore I propose to restore the register of the dialog (e.g. score, page, ...) when you open it again.
Besides I wonder if there is no possibility to open these dialogs also as new windows, like the Master Palette, so that you can switch fast between them and the score.
Or perhaps there is a possibility to trim the dialog, so that you can see the effect of your adjustment immediately in one window.
I think that would be an essential improvement to the program's usability.
